Frank Endacott
Frank has four sons, one Shane played for the Auckland Warriors. Franks nickname is "Happy Frank".
Playing Career
Frank played for both the Addington and Hornby clubs in the Canterbury(NZ) club competition from 1967 to about 1980, and made the 1963 junior Kiwis team.
Coaching Career
Frank started his coaching career with the Canterbury (NZ) club Addington and then coached Hornby. With the success that he was having with his clubs teams Frank was made the coach of the Canterbury(NZ) provincial team.
In 1994 Frank was made the head coach of the New Zealand Kiwis, a position he held for 7 years and thru 2 World Cups making the final in 2000 and the semi-final in 1995. Frank has been one of the most successful coaches of the Kiwis with only Graham Lowe having done better.
From 1995 to midway thru the 1997 season Frank was the coach of the Auckland Warriors Reserves grade team. Half way thru the 1997 season Frank took over as the head coach of the Warriors First Grade team after John Monie was sacked. However Frank only got one full season as head coach in 1998 before being replaced by Mark Graham for the 1999 season.
After leaving the Warriors Frank became the head coach of the Wigan club in 2000, but was sacked by Wigan part way thru the 2001 season after a run of bad results. In 2004 Frank helped the Widnes club avoid relegation from Superleague, however when Widnes were relegated at the end of the 2005 season Frank left teh club.

Life after coaching
Since 2006 Frank has been partners with ex Kiwi Peter Brown in a player Agent business.
In December 2006 Frank was made a Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit (ONZM) in the New Years honors.
In 2002 the book "Being Frank - The Frank Endacott Story" was published, the book was written with John Coffey.
