Playing Career
Mark's playing days started at the Otahuhu Leopards in the Auckland club competition, this is also where Mark start a long relationship with Graham Lowe. He also played for Brisbane Norths before moving south to play for the North Sydney Bears. In 2006 Mark was named at second row in the Bears team of the century.
Marks was inducted in the New Zealand Rugby Legends of League and the following year the New Zealand Sports hall of Fame. In 2007 Mark was named in the New Zealand Team of the Century in the second row and was also named as the Player of the century.

Coaching Career
After the Warriors were purchased from Auckland Rugby League 1999, a new coached was appointed to replace Frank Endacott, that was Mark Graham.
With Eric Watson buying the Warriors at the end of the 2000 season Mark was nolonger required as the head coach of the Warriors and was repalced by Daniel Anderson.
